Frequently asked questions
Where does the AI run, and what's green about it?
The AI itself runs on our own hardware in the Westerwald; the rest of the service (app and data) lives in a German data centre – both in Germany and powered by green energy. Deliberately no distant US cloud.
Can gruenki be wrong?
Yes. Like any AI, gruenki can make mistakes, give outdated information or make things up. Verify important details – especially regarding law, taxes, health and finance – before making a decision. The answers are guidance, not binding advice. That's exactly why we ground legal questions, wherever possible, in real sources rather than the model's memory.
Do you train on my data?
No. Your content is not used to train models, not sold and not used for advertising. It belongs to you.
Where is my data stored?
Processed and stored in Germany. Personal content is field-encrypted in the database, meaning encrypted at rest, and the data of different users and teams is strictly separated.
Do you use US services?
Your content and the AI stay in Germany. Only optional extra features – Google sign-in and web search – run via external providers; in those cases only the bare minimum is transmitted (the login identifier or your search terms), never your chat content or uploaded files.
What does it cost to get started?
Nothing. The Free tier is free of charge and has the same feature set and the same quality as the paid tiers. You start right away in your browser.
What's the difference between the tiers?
Only the usage allowance. All three tiers have the same model quality and the same features. You only pay to be able to use more, not for better AI.
